I drove both. The 330xi drove very nice. However I did opt for the X5 3.0. It had more luxury and I felt in the long run the xtra $$ was worth it. Resale is higher so you don't lose the difference in price. If lower roof is your priority, there is a big factor. However a bike rack attached to towing hitch is easy too
