The voice recognition works AMAZINGLY well. There is no training necessary. You don't have to store phone numbers in memory to use it. You just say the phone number you want to call, it reads it back to you, and if it's correct, you tell it to dial. The voice recognition also feeds the GPS nav system, so you can tell it to show the route map, change scales, etc.

And, Yes, in an emergency it calls and sends the location (lat/lon and road name). It will go automatically if the airbags go off, or if the theft alarm is activated. Or you can do it automatically. They will try to talk to you over the speakerphone. But if you don't answer they will send help.
