I am really sorry to hear that you are still having problems. After thinking about what you describe, I wonder if your calls are getting dropped. In other words, you dial a number, the radio mutes while dialing (of course it doesn't let you hear the dialing tones), the call drops, so the radio starts again. If I remember correctly, you said that it is now happening about 10 percent of the time and that you live in the boonies. Perhaps the antenna in the X5 is not strong enough to prevent call drops and this could explain the problem. I live in an urban area and have not experienced any of the problems you describe. Perhaps you can go to the signal strength page on the NAV display and see if this is a possibility. Just a thought. Good luck
