Does BMW make a baby seat for the x5? Secondly, Whoever has a child, what brand of car seat do you recommend?

BMW recommends the Britax line and so do I. (Britax is an OEM for jet airliner seats, FWIW).

I have a pair of Roundabouts in my X5. The rear-facing fits Ok, but the tether cannot be used. The front facing is rock solid with the tether.

When installing any seat in the X5, after buckling it in, pull the seat belt all the way out of the retractor (it will click). Slowly feed it back into the retractor and the belt will stay locked so you dont need to fiddle with a locking clip.
