I am having a local painting company do my floor.
I was quoted $650 for cleaning, prep with Muric Acid, and two coats of epoxy paint.

I did a checker board in my garage addition, in VCT tile. Had been quoted $1500 for the checker board pattern in paint, but decided on tile, since a damaged tile can be pulled up and replaced.

Going with paint in the main garage for durability less likely to scratch BUT once damaged hard to repair. Adding the fine sand for traction, wet painted surface is SLICK! If you have a company do the job you have warranty.

ALL painted floors will peal eventually. You may want to consider one of the Car mats which catches water, snow and salt.
