VCT = Vinyl Composition Tile, industrial tile, like is on the floor at Hospitals. VERY strong and durable.

It has to be waxed and buffed 1-2 times a year, but this can be a DIY or $100 for someone to do.

Hot tires will stain the wax, which is buffable...

YOU should heat the garge. Have a gas line run to it and put a Ventless heater (www.desa.com) in there. About $200-300 for a heater. It will be the best thing you have done! I love having a heated garage.

I plan to get one of the "car mats" which will catch the melting ice and salt. Also there is rubber edgeing down, so I can just hose the floor out.

Thanks! Nice floor and cars! What's VCT tile? I hadn't thought of tiling it but would consider that. What's the prep like? Would it survive the Chicago winters with freeze/thaw, the garage is attached and insulated but not heated (yet...).
