How many fires will we hear about between now and next month?
BMW NA announced this past Friday afternoon that they will conduct a recall campaign for all E53 X5 vehicles manufactured from mid December 2000 thru April 2001. Owner notification will begin next month on a staggered basis as parts supply permits.

The part number for the replacement fan is 64 54 6 919 051. All dealer orders for the new fan must be VIN specific.

That's really all I can tell you now.
