Did you see this at Patrick BMW in Schaumburg by chance? A few months ago (March?) I saw one (Silver with M badges, etc) as I was leaving their lot after servicing. I actually told people what I saw but never heard of or saw anything about it again. Once I found out there wasn't going to be an M version I began wondering if I was crazy or did I really see what I thought I saw.

Incidentally, I was at Patrick again last week and there were 5 or 6 X5s on the lot-none with M badges though.


Saw a silver X5 in a suburban Chicago dealership today with M badges in place of the 4.4i on the sides and the X5 on the tailgate. A kid who worked there was driving it out of the garage and he said it was not the 4.6, but the 4.4 with a euro package. I did'nt get a great look at it, but the exterior seemed similar to a regular 4.4 (other than the M badges) with body color bar in front and body-color running boards. Anyone have any more info on this euro package? Does it really come with M badges or did the owner just decide to put them on himself? Sorry if someone's already posted about this - I only read the forum occasionally.
