I noticed a comment below about side view mirrors not returning to their correct positions at start-up. Unfortunately, it's worse than that. As verified by Steve Green of BMWUSA on my car some months ago, side view mirrors can move out of position as the remote unlock button is pressed. He said that a software fix was coming, but so far none is available. The safety problem is this: Unless you reset your mirrors to their proper position (the seat memory button can be used) you might think you have a full view of what's going on around the car, but you don't. More than once, my wife or I have started lane changes only to be greeted by a blaring horn or the other one of us shouting "Watch it!" So far we've been lucky, but for heaven's sake, one should be able to rely on their side view mirrors. Can't BMWNA get a fix done for this problem before someone gets hurt or a car gets damaged -- which could have already happened. How about it?
