...My 4.4i has been in the service bay for three days for work to be done on the "Inactive Self-Leveling". After San Diego BMW did quite a bit of research they were finally able to contact an engineer who acknowledged the problem as a mismatch in hardware and software versions. The solution is an installation of a missing wire which provides the proper feedback loop for the Self-Leveling hardware to report back to the electronic brain (software). The parts are being shipped from the engineering department and should be installed on Monday.
