For the 4.4, 0-60 under 7 seconds, speed limited to 143 with sports package, handling not as good as a 5 series, but probably the best of any SUV on the market. My actual average MPG since getting my X5 in September of last year is 14.7 MPG (14 city, 18 on highway). More room than the 5 series in the seats. I recommend comfort seats option, or lumbar option, because the standard seats are firm on long trips with not as many adjustments to find a new seating position. In the US all maintenance is included for 3 years or 36000 miles, so the only costs ar for gas, taxes, and insurance.
