New Question: Comfort Seats and Seat Covers (archive)

OK, here's a question I don't think has been asked before. I have the X5seat covers I want to put on when I take the X5 to go mountain biking, etc. The two-piece design necessitates removing the headrest from the seat to install the covers - but the headrests on my comfort seats don't seem to want to come off easily. Should I be able to just pull and remove the headrests off of the metal posts, or will this damage the automatic headrest elevation mechanism in the comfort seats - meaning I can't use the BMW covers....
