is mods that are not easily noticeable by the dealer. One hook up of their scanner to my X will tell them the mapping of the computer has been altered. I think my chances of pulling a fast one on the dealer, if necessary, would be with the gear swap. The reason why I don't like the downloaded software is for this reason exactly. I prefer a chip instead. This way at least I may remove it if dealer work is required. Going back to the guy that did the DL is a waste of time and money. Plus, It's not like I won't do the Dinan upgrade its just that I would like to explore this option if it would give an advantage with few or no disadvantages. This is your typical hot rodders mod and I just wanted to know what my brothers and sisters in the X community think. Maybe someone has a reason why I can't or shouldn't do this. I know the late model mustangs had to have their (tranny)computer adjusted for the gear swap. Maybe the X has the same situation and this would prohibit this modification. Just want to know if this is a feasible mod or not. A few tenths of a second off the zero to sixty would make this worthwhile to me. Thanks for your 2 pennies worth.
