while my X5 was at the dealer couple of times, they loaned me 323 wagon and a 528. the 323 rattled like crazy . i loved the ride of 528 but it also rattled and there was a buzz noise coming every 10 minutes and it annoyed the heck out of me(especially since i usually don't listen to music and drive with all windows closed) i m no expert on bmw but BMW seems to be struggling to make their cars rattle and buzz noise free.

I agree from this board postings that the X5 is fairly bug ridden and while mine has been 100% fine, it's disheartening to pay this kind of cash and not be driving a "top 10". I don't buy any excuses of sofisticated electronics, start bugs in production, poor suppliers, etc. If it doesn't work right, who cares why, it's still BMW's complete and total responsibility.

I'd sy most of the issues (aside from the current recall of fans for fires) are minor and more inconveniences than considered breakdowns.

Are their 3's, 5's and 7's the same?

Granted, again, mine has been perfect and it is an absolute gas to drive, I don't want to be driving something with the reputation of a Jag and would seriously consider selling if BMW doesn't turn things around quickly.

IMHO
