I would not buy the X5. Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful car when it runs, and most certainly the most fun SUV to drive. But the quality problems, and worse yet, BMWNA's terrible customer service leave a lot to be desired.

You've seen the numerous problems people have had here. Some people can stomach them as the price for owning a BMW. I can't, not when I plop $54k on a vehicle. You'll have to decide for yourself whether the risk is acceptable.
