Well, good news. I took it in to the dealer today, and my car did show up as a recall vehicle, and they are replacing the fan with no questions asked. I have yet to receive my recall notice, BTW.

Same position as you - same part number, no problems so far. However, my Feb. 2001 build 3.0i had 2700 miles, still no problems with AC.

The question is, if (or when) will it happen, given that we've already gone this far without problems. Hopefully the dealer can give us a definite answer, thought I doubt it.
