I've had mine for under a month and almost 2K miles, and it's a great vehicle. I've had it on two long trips (one from the factory pickup), and I love it on the open road. It was a little hard to get used to a much larger car than I had before.

I've had zero problems, other than with the dealer-installed CD changer that was their screw-up, not BMW's. This is my first BMW too, and so far, I'm very satisfied.

I hate to be lame on this one, but I'm about 1 week from picking up my new 2001 X5 3.0 at the dealership, and I'm starting to wonder if I've made a mistake. I've been reading this forum very regularly for some time now, and have been picking up some very negative vibes lately on the quality of this vehicle. I guess I figured spending $45k on a car would get me a great (and very reliable) car (I know many of you have spent more), but I'm reading more cons than pros lately.

I've always been a fan of BMW (this is my first), and have been very excited about getting my car. I guess I'm just looking for re-assurance that this was money well spent.
