Lowering the ground clearance will just screw up the safest vehicle on the road today in respect to the ideal combination of active and passive safety, as well as also voiding your warranty.

The X5 is great on winding mountain roads, the best SUV out there, but pales next to a 3 series under these conditions. And it can go decenty off-road, but is no Land Cruiser in the weeds.

All of which is exactly what we were looking for in a new vehicle.
