We currently own a '01 3.0 X5 and are also considering buying a 1996 Mercedes Benz C36 AMG. My husband, who currently drives the X5, would drive the C36 AMG, (he likes speed and it's supposed to be as fast as the BMW M3), then I could drive the X5. The asking price for the C36 AMG is $26,300 (auto, 46,000 miles, excellent condition). Does anybody on this board own one, know if this a good price, or know of a message board on MB's where we could find out more about the car? Thanks

I don't know about the price, but I imagine that it is hard to come by. But try looking at the C43. More expensive, but if your husband likes speed, that has got a lot more!
