I think additional painting of the extra interior trim may start looking to be an over kill add on. I personally feel it would be tasteless or tacky to add more interior accents to the dash via spray painting. I would see if BMW brushed aluminium trim pieces are available to replace dullish gold colored trim. This would spice the interior up a bit. I have seen other X5's with the brushed aluminium trim (see 4.6) interior. Hope this helps!
