Depending on who you are working with, I do not, as a rule work with the REPs, this is totally ludicrous, those guys are most of the time, slime. My standard approach is ask for the Sales Mgr or owner and work up the deal. The last thing I want is the old Let me ask my mgr and see what we can do BS.

I am about to start shopping for a 2001 X5 4.4. Looking at inventories, I notice that dealers seem to have a lot of them on their lots. This is quite a contrast to when I bought my 2000 540ia, where I had to order it.

GIven that the 4.6 is coming out later this year, I am assuming that dealers may want to cut a better than usual deal (i got $1500 off sticker on my 540).

Does anyone have any thoughts as to how much off sticker (or above invoice) is a good deal right now.
