Yes, it was worse with the shade open - I concluded when the shade is closed the rattle is still there, but it effectively deadens/isolates the sound.

The rattle was absolute worst with:

Roof Closed
Shade Open
Driving over reflectors in the road



did your sunroof rattle when it was closed AND when the shade was closed altogether? mine rattles only when the sunroof glass is closed but the shade cover is open. when the roof is open, no rattle.

It's the cables for the sunroof - tell them they need tightening.

Yes, it only does it when it's closed (cables become slack). Drove me crazy.

Good news it's a complete fix - not heard a peep out of the roof since it was adjusted.

Passenger seat issue is a new one to me.
