That was probably my post you read Pete. Just take a small wad of the material and work in a circular motion, buff with a paper (yes, paper) towel and repeat if you wish. I had some rough spots on one pipe and had to redo it. You can also dampen the material with a little mineral spirits if you want. Also, to keep your knuckles intact, remove the plastic trim piece around the pipe. It pulls right off. About 10 minutes per side, and they'll look just like chrome. I did mine in November when I got my X, and Minnesota winters be damned, they're still sparkling! I also did this on my 3 Rovers and never had to redo it. Thank heavens for stainless steel exhaust components. Let me know if you need more info.
