Store in the phones memory your voicemail service (on Verizon it's *86 [send]) followed by a 'pause' (which I think is '# send' on your phone but you should check the manual to be sure)and then your password...
e.g. for a password of 12345 your phones memory location would have in it *86o12345 (where 'o' is the symbol for pause). Then when you call up that memory position and hit {send} the *86 is dialed and then the phone waits for you to hit {Send} again before dialing your password... Very neat!
