My 3.0 was built May 2000. The dealer installed the phone kit, & when it didn't work we looked, & found that there was no microphone installed at the factory. The wire was tucked up in the headliner toward the driver, but was easily accessible.

I have just spent 1 hour searching for the microphone cable in my X5. I have removed the microphone grill, lights, garage door opener bezel etc.. I do not see it anywhere. Does anyone know where to find it?
