You should try another dealer first. An example of bad service is Park Avenue BMW. Open Road are very accommodating to me, provide a BMW loaner (although most will get a Mazda 626), have the car ready on time if not earlier than expected and then it'll be washed too. They give 20% discount on parts to BMW CCA members but you are correct about the parts dept; they do make you pre-pay all orders in person. Still, that isn't enough of a reason to not use this dealership IMO.

The bottom line is to establish a good rapport with the sales dept. but more importantly, have your sales person introduce you to their best service writer and see that one person exclusively.
