...as possible. Plain old mild soap and water does the trick. I use an old wash mit to get to the back of the wheel and a Zymol wheel cleaning brush to clean around the lug nuts and brake calipers. A light coat of spray wax (currently Zymol) also helps when all I have time for is a quick hose down of the rims. I have a feeling hardly anyone waxes their wheels for fear that it is either too anal and/or labour intensive. It takes me about 5 mins. The wheels are painted and have clear coat just like the paint on the rest of the vehicle which is why they should be treated the same IMO.
