I would not worry about. I mean have you calculated the odds of a major problem over the total units sold? The X5 has no real comparable competition for drive and handling on road for a "SAV". My opinion, your either gonna buy it or not, but the small problems are so overwhelmed by how good it drives that I think its worth it even with problems. Mine had the fan problem and I recieved two other recalls. Did not bother me a bit except when my wife ask why it has so many problems and her benz has had none :)
