The 3.0d is an excellent engine with very good performance, for a diesel. I guess I still have problems with a diesel in a performance or luxury oriented car. I never will forget when my dad wanted a diesel in his new Cadillac many years ago! A noisy, smelly, smokey, leaky, dirty engine in a luxury car is just not right. OK, I know the engines are better now and maybe I have this leftover prejudice. A diesel just doesn't seem right if you want performance or luxury. I would probably get some other type of vehicle.
