there's sufficient inventory. Once dealers sell out their allocation or stock, the manufacturers don't make anymore - not much of a demand for snows in April. If an early winter hits (like before Thanksgiving as it did here back in the 60's and 70's), inventory could run out fast.... if no snow until Christmas, then there could be plenty. And will the stock market hit 9,000 this week? It's all speculation and risk...

On the 18 vs. 17", I discussed in detail with the dealer and parts guys -- finally opted for the 18" as I think the handling from 19 down to 17 would be too dramatic -- plus there's enough days that we don't have snow on the road that the 18" will handle better. Just my $.02


Any reason to order wheels/tires now or do you think I'm ok to wait until around dec.? Do prices usually go up? Also, I'll need to decide between 18" w/ bridgestone or 17" w/ Michelin. Why did you go for the 18"? Thanks.
