I just read in the NY Times today that OnStar is adding services to its system. Now, their customers can call up traffic reports for their current area, stock quotes, news, weather, email, etc.... all using voice recognition. It's all integrated with their OnStar system and gps system. Why can't BMW compete with these services? BMW's system absolutely sucks and every other car company is ahead of them in this regard. I'm getting my 2002 soon and hope that when they eventually get their act in order I'll be able to upgrade the software in my car to have such services too.
