this in certain markets. I caould care less if it is BMW or the dealer...it is a markup for the cost of doing routine business. Whomever is charging it need to consider why they don't charge an office cleaning fee on the price of the car, or an environmental fee...a great common surcharge for additional profit for service departments at some dealers. Maybe we are going to have a security fee to guard against anthrax attacks at the dealership. Anyway, we both agree this absurd cost should not be disclosed to the customer like any other dealership cost-of-doing-business charges, and they should just not bargain as much as they could on the bottom line, recovering it like anything else. My dealer has no fees like this, and many others don't either. Texas is a market that apparently does. What an idiotic charge...it would make me mad.
