I totally know what you are talking about. There have been quite a few mentionings of stuff like this ever since I first started using the board. I expected certain noises just because of what people had experienced previously, but not as many as I got. I have approximatley 20 or so really annoying sounds, such as squeaks and rattles. I took it in for service once, but nothing got fixed. I don't want to come in to the dealer with my "list" because they might get intimidated or blow me off or something, and I can't go to the delear like every 2 minutes to get these things fixed, so I am kind of stuck. I have made some attempts to fix certain things myself, but I haven't gone much further than reposition certain things. I really expected more quality from BMW, and unfortunatley this kind of takes away from such a great car as the X5 is. These problems, although minor, are very annoying and shouldn't exist on such a car. But nonetheless, I love my X and all that it can do, but would never consider getting another BMW in the next 10 years (because I am hoping my X can last that long). Oh well.
