Kim,

I think you are taling about the retractable cargo cover.. Sorry, I wanted to know about the retractable cargo floor. The one that weighs a whole bunch and is suppose to rattle.

Thanks,

Bradley

Does anyone have the retractable cargo thinga-ma-jig? I heard those rattle... Going to buy an X5 and was wondering if that option was the source of rattles or not.

Thanks,

Bradley

I have the retractable cargo cover and love that it covers up stuff in the rear. My sales guy told me to keep it 3/4 pulled/closed and you won't hear rattle. If its in fully retracted mode, you DO hear some rattle - mostly becasue its all accordian-zed up. Pull it closed 1/2-3/4 open, you'll have plenty of access space for normal shopping bags, groceries, etc and no rattle.

I had my x5 for 3 months now and can't stand it. i got it serviced 3 times for rattling in the cargo, backseats, seatbelts and sunroof. the cargo area still squeaks. and what now? now the wood cover that hides Cd player rattles when it's closed and the steering wheel groans and squeaks from time to time. when will all this ratttling end? am i the only one with these problmes?
