reported to this forum within the past year, although there has been at least one engine replaced due to overheating due to the aux fan recall. Mechanically, I think the X5 is quite reliable. Most problems are electronic on the X5. The mechanical problems should be able to be readily fixed, if your dealer is any good at all.
