When I got pumping gas first time to my new X5, I went inside the pump store to buy some reefreshments and locked the car while the gas nozzle was IN. Unfortunatelly I could not remove the house after that. It remained stock inside the lock and even if I unlocked all doors the gas lock did not open. I had to call roadside assistance to open it and remove the gass nozzle out.
Are you sticking the gas nozzle in when the car is locked? (Even if the driver side doors are open, the gas tank lock is not, you have to press the button on remote twice. Maybe it has something to do with your problem)
