If your radio is not showing ST when tuned to a stereo station, you might want to check and make sure it was set to US as a locale. If I remember correctly, you get into the hidden menus on the radio by pressing and holding the M key just after turning on the radio. Once in, the radio will display it's serial number as S/N XXXXXXXXX. Use the arrow keys that surround the M button to scroll through the options and you'll find an option for country or locale, I can't remember which. Scroll through and change it to US and you're in business!
