The self leveling is becoming standard on many luxury cars, even if they don't haul trailers. The advantage is that they can maintain an optimal ride quality no matter what the load (1 person or 5 people and luggage). Also, they level the vehicle when this is needed.

PS - I hear the air compressor coming on occassionally.
