Say. I'm leaning towards the M5. But In order to make my wife happy, she wants an automatic. I thought about a new 540ia, but I like to shift. I love to brake on a turn and heel toe the gas pedal to get rpm's up and simultaneously downshift as I end the turn. One can almost hear the proven 282 hp engine humbly roar as rounds the turn. Also I have a new little one, so I thought getting the X5 would slow me down a bit. It did! but not exactly the way I wanted. This vehicle would also be my daily driver and the cluth in stop and go traffic was wearing on me. But now I miss it. Driving the Steptronic is nice and relaxing, but I think the M5 has better cluth and linkage than the 540i.

What do u think ?
