Stereo Looses Sound: Every 3 Minutes (archive)

This morning, my 00' X5 was loosing Sound on the Stereo every 3 minutes. The Stereo was still on, but no sound. A quick Power Off/On, Sound returned, dropped 3 minutes later.

Then, after shutting the X5 off (for about 1 1/2 hours), the stereo is fine.

Anyone else experience this?
