My X5 died last night....
Driving home last night a f**king 94 mazda pulled out of a parking lot from my right hand side to turn left about 20 feet or less in front of me. She claims she did not see me!!! What bullshit!! How can you not see a bigass X5 crusing 40mph down the middle lane of a 3 lane street 20 feet away??? People are just plain stupid. Anyways, I slammed on my brakes and swerved to the right to avoid her, but she was going too slow. I took off her rear end and went up a curb and hit a tree after losing control of the car. It was the best defensive driving move I could do given the space I had to do it in. I could (and should) have just hit the side of her car, probably killing her in her itty bitty mazda 323, if I hadn't swerved to the right. My X is now about totaled, see all the pics below. Alpina22, this happened just hours after meeting up with you at the show. Be careful driving in Houston! This is very sad. The cops gave the lady 3 tickets, making it her fault. Not yielding to oncoming traffic, not signaling, and some type of accident ticket. Now that my X is gone, I will lose $5-10K paying it off (it's on a 5 year bank loan) and will be lucky if I can afford a 3 series. This is my first accident/ticket to be involved in, in over 15 months. Enough venting, look at these pics...
