exhaust for their X5 3.0i or 4.4i? They are practically brand new (only used for 1 week) and there is nothing wrong with them. See posted review by Desktop and previously posted pictures by CharlieG. However, I will have to sale them (may be trading in the 3.0i for a 4.4i). I am in the Southern California area and would like to sell it locally.

If anyone is seriously interested, please e-mail the offer privately.

I completed the Remus install today. The exhausts are made in Austria and they look very nice exhibiting good quality and workmanship. The pipes are coated in black and the quad tips are chrome. I found them to be no louder than stock at idle and only slightly louder or throatier really, when applying heavy throttle. At cruising speeds there is no significant change in the cabin noise level even with the radio off. I really like the sound. I was afraid that they might be loud, but Remus obviously tuned these guys for a conservative sound level. As far as a horsepower increase, I couldn't tell any difference. Dan in parts says I get 6hp. I'll take his word for it since I bought these guys for appearance more so than any performance increase.
The install was easy as these units are truely bolt on replacements from the cat back. I installed them by myself in about 2 hours. I suggest removing the rear bumper as CharlieG indicated in his earlier posts. Before you attach to the cat, let the units hang on the rubber mounts while the bumper and torx bolts are reinstalled. The quad tips block the insertion of the torx bolts in the bumper when they are in place. Guess how I know this. I highly recommend the Remus exhausts for 3.0i owners looking to upgrade the rear appearance of their X5 with a descent bolt on performance exhaust system that is 100% stainless steel. They also represent excellent value as compared to some of the other exhausts systems mentioned on the board. I will post some pics later.
