That is just the way it is...You would think BMW would have created more space for the sunroof, but there isn't...

If i want to paint the bottom moldings into the body color at a body shop, do they just take off the moldings and paint them, or do they order another set?
The bottom moldings are reusuable, but the plastic rivets that hold the mouldings are not reusuable....you need to get a bunch of those plastic expanding rivets....there are 2 or 3 types....about $0.85 each
