I am going through Lemon Law arbitration right now with my 2000 BMW X5. I was told by the head North American BMW engineer Guy Carlton that in all BMW's the spec. for the speedo can be anywhere from 0-9mph off!!!! The X5 is a piece of JUNK!!!!

Roundel just had an article on this. The speedo is off, and registers up to 3 to 6 mph faster than actual. The odometer is exact. Makes you wonder why they can't make the speedometer exact like my XK8 and other vehicles.
