I am having a tough time getting the interior windshield clean. I've tried the "no streak" cleaners but they don't clean and do streak. On one of the detailing web sites, they reccommend using #0000 steel wool! Has anyone tried this? Is there no coating on the inside glass that would be damaged?

Try Goof-Off. Get it at Home Depot. Worked for me in removing the film type residue from some sort of sticker that was on the inside of the windshield.
