Thanks for the earlier replies. Turning the #10 torx screw (below the volume control shaft) 90 degrees was the trick. the head unit slid right out.

But - thge connector on the back of the CD player is COMPLETELY different than on the casette player. No way it'll fit unless there's a special adapter... The CD player has flat spade connectors - the casette unit has round pins...

Any comments before I contact a local dealer tomorrow?
