I was thinking about this .

I had 2000 Escalade that came with 100 miles. My dealer took my new car and went for my plates and necessary registration.

Now , with my 2002 X5 , my dealer did not do that and that is why the miles were under 10 ,but no more than 15. I wrote is down ,but I thought between 7 or 8. I was aware of it because I remember with my Cadillac. I remember with all my other BMW"s the miles were low.

YOUR dealer may use your car to test out any kinks in lets say your changer. Also , it might go for you plates at the DVM.
