02 X5 tape deck swap for indash CD (archive)

Did I have the right information ?

In order to swap out my indash tape deck , the volume nob needs to be poped off.

I remember on my older BMW's there were little black plastic tabs on the right and left mid way between the radio.

I see a lip on top of the tape deck. I thought there might be a tool to yank it out.

I am concerned because I am going in this tuesday.

I had the phone put in and they had a bitch of a time getting the craddle in and eveidence showed they were prying on side ,but it was very tiny.

ANY thoughts ????
