time, they couldn't release "new features" every year ... it's a marketing game. Next year, we'll get the tire pressure control, perhaps the folding mirrors, true bi-xenons, maybe a first aid kit, etc. IF there isn't a significant model year change, there's little incentive for people with a 2001 model to buy or "upgrade" a 2003....
may be country or model specific, such as the first aid kit, according oto the legend in the front of the manual. Why these options are not offered in the US, only BMWNA knows (and I am sure it is not a good reason).
