please help on exaust dampner for vibration fix... (archive)

saw some posts on vibration fix for X5 3.0 using an exaust dampner from z3 or 318. I understand it may not completely take care of the problem but it appears to significantly decrease vibrations. Are there any new problems that such a dampner potentially might create in future that i should be aware of? Can u please post a part number or bulletin number for this dampner? I would like the dealer to do it for my X5.
